Upgrades and repairs for the tower you have
Already have a desktop? These are the upgrades and fixes we handle most, from a faster graphics card to a rig that won’t power on.
GPU upgrades
Drop in a faster graphics card for higher frame rates or heavier work. We check your power supply and clearance so the card actually fits and runs.
Board-level repair
When possible, we repair graphics cards and motherboards at the component level, replacing failed chips, connectors, and power stages instead of writing the whole board off.
Power supply (PSU) replacement
Random shutdowns, no power, or a PSU that can’t keep up with a new card. We swap in the right wattage for your build.
Cooling & thermal fixes
Thermal throttling, loud fans, or a rig that runs hot under load. We redo the cooling and fresh thermal paste to bring temps down.
Storage & RAM upgrades
Add an SSD or NVMe drive and more memory so the machine boots fast, loads quickly, and keeps up with what you throw at it.
Dust cleaning & tune-ups
A dust-packed tower runs hot and slow. We clean it out, check the fans, and get airflow and performance back where they should be.
Virus & malware removal
Running slow or acting up? We clean it out and get Windows back in shape.
Won’t POST / won’t power on
A tower that shows nothing, powers on and off, or won’t reach the BIOS. We track down the failing part and get it booting.
OS reinstall & fresh setup
A clean Windows reinstall to clear out a slow, cluttered system and hand it back running like it should.

We recommend backing up your data before any repair if possible. While we take care to protect your files, some repairs carry a risk of data loss. If your PC won’t turn on and you need files recovered, ask us about our data recovery services.
03 Won’t POST & no-power diagnostics
When the tower won’t boot
Black screen, fans spin but nothing shows, or it powers on and off in a loop. We work through the build one part at a time to find what’s stopping the boot, instead of guessing and swapping parts. Nothing billable happens before you approve the price.
Check the basics
We start with power, the PSU, and the connections, then look at whether the board is even getting to POST. Won’t power on at all is a different path than powers on but shows nothing.

1–2 business daysWe test the RAM, GPU, storage, and board one at a time to find which component is stopping the boot, instead of guessing and swapping parts.

Once we know what’s wrong, you get a firm price. The $79 diagnostic fee goes directly toward the cost of your repair, so if you proceed with the fix, you’re not paying extra for the diagnosis.
Fix & test
3–5 business daysWe order the part the same day where we can and finish once it arrives. Then we run the machine under load to make sure it boots and stays stable before it goes back to you.
Common questions
Do you really build custom PCs to spec?+
Yes. Tell us your budget and what you’ll use it for, from an office desktop to a high-end gaming rig, and we design the build and put it together for you. We pick parts that work well together, plan the cooling and airflow, and hand it back ready to go.
Is there a diagnostic fee?+
For a tower that won’t POST, won’t power on, or has an intermittent problem, we charge a $79 diagnostic fee to thoroughly identify the issue. This fee goes directly toward the cost of your repair, so if you proceed with the fix, you’re not paying extra for the diagnosis. We ask for 1 to 2 business days for the diagnostic process.
My PC won’t turn on or won’t POST — can you fix it?+
Usually. We test the power supply, RAM, GPU, storage, and board one at a time to find the part that’s stopping the boot, then quote the fix. If the drive holds files you need and the board is failing, we can often recover the data first.
Will a new graphics card work in my current PC?+
Often, but not always. A faster GPU may need more power or more physical space than your case and power supply have. Bring the tower in or tell us the model and we’ll check the power supply and clearance before you buy anything.
How long does a desktop repair take?+
For straightforward part replacements, we order the part the same day and usually finish once it arrives. Expect 3 to 5 business days for most repairs. Some common parts are available sooner. A full custom build takes longer and depends on parts availability.
Should I back up my data first?+
We recommend backing up your data before any repair if possible. While we take care to protect your files, some repairs carry a risk of data loss. If your PC won’t turn on and you need files recovered, ask us about our data recovery services.
