PS5 HDMI port repair

The HDMI port is one of the most common failure points on the PS5. Signs of a failing port include no video (“no signal” on the TV), flickering, tearing, video that cuts in and out, and bent or broken pins. The fix is to replace the port on the motherboard itself. A new cable won’t help a damaged port. We solder on a new HDMI port and restore full video. We do this for the original PS5, PS5 Digital, and PS5 Slim.

PS4 HDMI port repair

PS4 and PS4 Pro ports fail the same way: bent pins, cracked solder, no video. We replace the port on the PS4 Slim, PS4 Pro, and original PS4. Typical signs are the white power light coming on with no picture, audio but no video, or a “no signal” message.

Xbox Series X HDMI repair

Series X HDMI port replacement for consoles with no picture, “no signal” errors, or visible damage to the port. The Series X uses a different port than older Xbox models, and we stock the right part.

Xbox Series S HDMI repair

Series S HDMI repair for the same failures as the Series X. The board is smaller and tighter, but the port replacement is similar.

Xbox One HDMI port repair

HDMI repair for the Xbox One, One S, and One X. Common signs are the green Xbox logo with nothing after it, audio without video, or “no signal” on the TV.

Nintendo Switch HDMI repair

Switch HDMI trouble is usually in the dock, not the console. The tell is a Switch that works in handheld mode but won’t show on the TV when docked. We repair Switch docks, including HDMI port replacement and internal trace repair, and we work on the OLED dock too.

What causes HDMI port failure

Console HDMI ports usually fail for one of these reasons:

  • Cable strain. Moving or pulling the console with the cable plugged in is the leading cause. The sideways force cracks the solder joints under the port.
  • Bent pins. Pushing a cable in at an angle bends the small internal pins.
  • Heat. Years of heating and cooling weaken the solder holding the port to the board.
  • Power surges. A surge through the cable can damage the HDMI chip itself, which is a bigger board repair.
  • Wear. Enough plugging and unplugging eventually wears out the contacts.

Pricing

Warranty

Every HDMI repair comes with a 90-day warranty on the work. If the same port fails again within 90 days, we fix it at no charge (you cover return shipping). It doesn’t cover unrelated damage, later cable strain, drops, or liquid.

FAQ — 05

Common questions

How do I know it’s the HDMI port?+

Try a different cable and a different TV first. If there’s still no picture on a cable and TV you know work, the port is the likely cause. Bent pins, looseness when the cable is in, or video that only shows when you hold the cable at an angle all point to port damage.

Will I lose my games or saves?+

No. HDMI repair doesn’t touch the console’s storage, login, or saved data. Everything stays intact.

What if the console has other problems too?+

We check the whole console during the evaluation. If we find anything else (overheating, disc drive, power), we tell you with the quote and you decide whether to handle it at the same time.

What does the $79 diagnostic fee cover?+

If your console won’t turn on or has a more complex issue, we charge a $79 diagnostic fee to identify the problem. This fee goes directly toward the total cost of your repair, so if you move forward with the fix, the diagnostic is essentially free. We ask for 1 to 2 business days for the diagnostic period.

How long does HDMI repair take?+
